Alternate Hallmark Movies

Hello friends and family. I hope you’re well. I’m fine. This is the last blog for 2021! My year was pretty good. And I hope yours was too! Jesus is born too! Woohoo! Since I’m celebrating all 12 days, it’s still Christmas! So, to celebrate I’ve written some pitches for Hallmark movies based off of real titles! Enjoy! Baby’s First Christmas A woman nicknamed Baby has recently left the jehovah’s witnesses and is now a normal Christian allowing her to finally celebrate Christmas!  Christmas Makeover Sarah Marshall is a conceited New York makeup artist to the stars. On Christmas Eve, she’s asked to give a makeover to a homeless man named Fabulous, whom she denies. Sarah is then visited by three ghosts who show her the miserable life she lives with this behavior. Will Sarah get a mood makeover? More importantly will Fabulous get his? A Shoe Addict’s Christmas  Sarah loves shopping, especially for shoes. When purchasing a gift for a friend of hers, her card is declined and she disco...

Katherine at The Met

God Bless Hello Friends and Family! I hope you all are well. I’ve been doing pretty well. I went home the other weekend and was able to remember who I am, while at the mall visiting Kendra Scott and Nordstrom. There is something that makes me feel so myself when I go shopping and am dressed well, and I’m glad I got to rediscover that because I love fashion Katherine and often forget about her in rural Fort Collins. I also got to go birdwatching and watch trashy tv with my parents. I know it’s been taking me some time to turn out these blogs, but that’s okay. I’d like to say hello to any new readers as well, however I doubt there are any of you. But, if there are hi I’m Katherine Darcy!  Anyways, fashion’s biggest night, The Met Gala, took place early two months ago in September! To celebrate the event and opening of the new exhibit I curated looks that I’d wear! The theme for the night was ‘In America: A Lexicon of Fashion.’ As people usually are, I was confu...

What I've Learned in College: Junior Year

Howdy! Sorry, it's been so long. I wasn't 100 percent sure what to blog about or when to. Anyways, this past school year has been much different than I'm sure I had imagined it to be prior to starting college. I spent the past year at home with majority of my classes taking place on line. So, to continue my 'What I've Learned in College' series I wrote a list of well, what I've learned this year. I Love People This past year Justin Bieber's best song 'Lonely' really hit home with me. One of the most difficult things about the past year, especially the first semester, was not having very many friends or my brother around while at home.  I mainly hung out with my parents and let me tell you, while I enjoyed doing activities together, but I can only watch so much 'Antiques Roadshow' before going crazy. I will say though my parents were enjoyable since Lance was gone. They seem to get upset, annoyed, and yell less when Lance or I is the only ...

2021 Winter Outfits

Hello everyone! I hope you're well. Since spring is kinda here (April is the second snowiest month in Colorado), I gathered up some photographs of my favorite Winter outfits! I also added my commentary on them and the links to buy something similar! I do wanna say that majority of my clothing wasn't bought at the full retail price. I do like to wear nice clothing It was either bought on sale, at a consignment store, inherited, or another reduced price option. I've been wanting to post a little more about clothes on here as I've enjoyed fashion and clothing for majority of my life. I even wanted to major in fashion, but my dad told me if I did I wouldn't be able to eat in the future. Anyways, here are some of my winter outfits!  I wrote this next part this past Saturday and wanted to honor and include what I added to this post then: As I write this I cannot stop smiling! I'm watching SNL and during the "Weird Little Flute" music Video with Pete Davidson...

Not the Blonde Shawn White

Two and a half weeks ago  I went skiing for the first time. I've lived in Colorado my whole life, in fact my ancestors have been here since the early 1900's, and two weeks ago was my first time skiing. My parents never took my brother and I skiing because my mom doesn't like the cold and my dad really isn't that interested in the sport. I've wanted to ski for years now because so many people I know go and the culture seems fun, so I finally learned! My friend Erin and I went skiing at Loveland Ski Hill and I got the opportunity to have a lesson and "ski" a little afterwards! Getting Ready      I woke up at 5:00 in the morning, but got out of bed closer to 5:20. I put on my clothes that I set up the night before and discovered my snow pants were longer than expected, which was kind of a bummer. I then quickly ate my Cheerios, watched the fish sleep, said good-bye to my parents, and made like a baby and headed out! On my way to my friend Erin's house...

Chased by a Squirrel and Other Stories

Howdy! I hope you all are well. Recently in my blog I expressed I wanted to write more stories, so I did. I gathered up a few moments of my life the past two months that left me laughing or astonished. Also, I decided to stop updating the Bachelor Recap blogs as not many people were reading, with that being said there aren't a lot of readers reading the other blogs either. Shout out to all of my 15 readers! Driving on Zero      A few weeks ago I was on my way to see my friend Erin. I happened to be driving downtown and while, at a stoplight, I was trying to change the Justin Bieber song on my phone. I also noticed a message from my mom that read "remember to fill the car up." I inevitably looked at my dash and noticed the gas mileage thing literally said "0 miles to E." H-O-L-Y C-O-W! Then, I saw it change to "LOW." You see, I like to play this game called "Don't Fill Up The Car". The rules are as follows: don't put gas in your c...

Howdy, it's Katherine!

Hello! So, I have not done an 'About Me' post in a very long time and I figured I needed to do a new one. I have had many new readers since then and while many of you know me, I thought this would still be nice. Anyways, I'm Katherine Darcy! Some people call me Darcy, some friends call me KD, my dad calls me 'beans', others call me Katherine Angel (like my grandma and her friend Barbara), but most people call me Katherine.      Currently, I live in Colorado and have been living here my whole life. I've only lived on the Front Range, however my family is from both the Western Slope and Kansas. Currently, I'm in college and would like to move to either Chicago, the Western Slope, or somewhere else cold upon graduation.  Besides blogging I enjoy swimming, golfing, hiking, bird watching, tanning, shopping, and scrolling on NextDoor. I also have been into Colorado history and reading 1800's newspapers lately.       I have been writing The Katherine Kaz...
