Summer Style 2019

This summer I have been trying to expand my wardrobe. I noticed I have many solid color shirts and my outfits have gotten boring. I have been trying to change this by getting a top in every color to change it up. It has been a little tough because I try to follow Karl Lagerfeld's advice of purchasing pieces I either need or really love. There really is no reason to spend money on clothing you sort of like, you got to love it. Click on the titles of the clothing to get to the link.

I love this summer sweater! I mean who doesn't love a summer sweater! It is so patriotic and perfect for chilly summer nights. I am looking forward to purchasing this sweater later this summer. Plus, it's on sale!

This tank top is basic, but so easy to dress up with accessories. This one is also on sale.

I absolutely adore this tank top. Lilly Pulitzer is my favorite clothing brand and as part of a new patchwork print they brought back the prints in the patchwork. I really love it and hope it's available during the Lilly After Party Sale.

This baby pink top is darling and so perfect for spring and summer. I love the gold pattern.

I love this top! I think the gingham is so wonderful and so summer! It is cropped a little as well. I really want this top, but my mom said I wouldn't look good in it, so..... maybe I'll still get it. It's on sale!

This top is incredible. I love that this is a true wrap and so vibrant like a fresh orange. It's also on sale at Nordstrom!

This top is so wonderful with the eyelets. I think it's in season. I love how adorable.

This top is so vibrant and similar to the above one it has eyelets! I prefer this one for the color!

I know I was focusing primarily on tops, but it's my blog, so.... whatever. I think this shift is darling. Lilly Pulitzer re-released this print for summer. It is so fabulous and it makes me so happy.

This dress is so perfect for all things summer. I love that Kiel James Patrick makes classic pieces like this!

I enjoy this top. I love the boxy style and the lace trim added. The pink and the green work so well.

This polo is absolutely adorable! The embroidered elephant is holding a hole "19" flag along with the phrase "Par-Tee!" embroidered below. I love that this shirt can be layered and when it is too hot to be layered is still cute! And it's on sale!

Rowing Blazers is an incredible brand that focuses on bringing back and reinventing classic preppy clothing. I love this polo because of the embroidered maritime signal flags. I've really been into signal flags lately.

I have been eyeing this t-shirt all summer. I absolutely adore the playful designs J.Crew has. I should probably get it. I do love it. And it's on sale!

Tourist tees are in right now. Not only are they cool and comfortable, but their also easy to dress up or down.

I am in love with this shift! It is a patchwork of some popular Lilly P prints! So, it's all your (my) favorites in one! The lace and shift style just compliment it so well. I have never bought a Lilly shift, I'm waiting until I go to a physical Lilly Pulitzer store to try one on.

I love this shirt, this is probably my favorite on this list. It such a unique take on a classic look. The colors are so vibrant and oh so playful! I love it.

So, that's what I love this summer regarding clothing! The options are so versatile and so colorful this year! Hopefully, I'll do a fall one too!

God Bless!

20 Activities for 20 year Olds

Good Morning Family and Friends! Recently I have been incredibly bored, hopefully my online classes will entertain me more. I have previously stated that I wasn’t practicing social distancing or whatever, however my mom has been making me stay inside more often and now Colorado is on lockdown. I looked up activities for 20 year olds and didn’t find anything, I guess people make these lists for stay at home moms with young children. So, I decided to make my own list for you, the audience, if you’re bored (which if you’re reading this you probably are) and looking for something to do. Read Woah, how original...read. I don’t read for pleasure often. In the summer I read The Great Gatsby  and I usually read one of Father Greg Boyle’s books some other time in the year. I also read my Vogue magazines. Two books and a magazine isn’t that much. However, since there is more time to do stuff, I figured I could read more. My brother gave me The Princess Bride to read, I’ve read a lit...

What I've Learned in College: End of Freshman Year Fun part 2

Continued from Part 1 8.Cowboys are Real Cowboys are typically seen as people who used to live in the Wild West years and years ago. I honestly think that my grandfather was one of the last American cowboys. While, I wills till continue to this this, I have learned that cowboys are still real! Every once in a while, I will see an old man sporting leather cowboy boots, a blue pair of Wrangler jeans, a button down shirt, a weathered, leather belt, a leather vest, a cowboy hat, a grown out beard, and skin weathered and tan like the leather. I didn’t think people still dressed like this besides for show! This is someone’s real life outfit! I am always astonished to see people like this because I don’t see them regularly. They look like their straight off a horse in ye old west! Students even wear cowboy boots daily! It’s something else. 9. People still pressure you. I don't drink for multiple reasons, and I was under the impression that people don't pressure people i...

Guest Post: Boys, Friendships, and Knowing who You are by Harriet Alove

I invited a close friend of mine to write a post about whatever she desired. Harriet Alove (pen name) reflects on boys and finding who she is while in college.  ------------------------------             Much like Katherine since I have been at college I have noticed a lot of new different things. I am no longer coddled by the Jesuits, no more Kairos, no more of my sisters passing me in the hallways while I’m having a meltdown during class and having them sit and talk with me ‘till I feel better. Going to one of the largest state universities in the country has truly shell shocked me. Having ‘theology of the body’ as the most of a sex ed class I’ve had, to oddly having more knowledge about Myer’s Briggs types thanks to Mr. Cook’s junior theology. However, what has shocked me the most is how lost I have felt about myself. I’m no longer a swimmer, a good old Catholic girl going to ...
