2021 Winter Outfits

Hello everyone! I hope you're well. Since spring is kinda here (April is the second snowiest month in Colorado), I gathered up some photographs of my favorite Winter outfits! I also added my commentary on them and the links to buy something similar! I do wanna say that majority of my clothing wasn't bought at the full retail price. I do like to wear nice clothing It was either bought on sale, at a consignment store, inherited, or another reduced price option. I've been wanting to post a little more about clothes on here as I've enjoyed fashion and clothing for majority of my life. I even wanted to major in fashion, but my dad told me if I did I wouldn't be able to eat in the future. Anyways, here are some of my winter outfits!  I wrote this next part this past Saturday and wanted to honor and include what I added to this post then: As I write this I cannot stop smiling! I'm watching SNL and during the "Weird Little Flute" music Video with Pete Davidson and Kid Cudi! Timothee Chalamet popped up! What a video! Pete Davidson and Timothee Chalamet! Ahh! I'm pretty sure their all friends! Ahhh! I love Pete and Tim! I pray for them both at night!
Anyways, please enjoy my outfits.

Fur Baby

I love this outfit! It's just so posh. I think the gingerbread tones pair well with the navy of my pants and the popping powder blue of my mask and collar. I'm wearing a cinnamon colored cashmere sweater from Reformation. I purchased it from Nordstrom after eyeing it for so long, and thankfully I got a Nordy's gift card, so I purchased it! It also has a squareish neckline and balloon sleeves. There are a few things to be aware of with this sweater: The neckline is a little wide for my preference, the sleeves are long (not bad though when rolled), and the hem is cropped. However, it's very soft, goes so well with my collar, and looks very nice. I'm also wearing J.Crew Pixie Pants in Stretch Ponte. I like these pants. I purchased them as they seemed like a professional alternative to leggings, but looking at the picture they just look like leggings. Anyways, I do like them. My boots are also from J.Crew. They're suede, I believe. They are very cute and make me feel much taller. However, at the end of the day my feet hurt, but I think that's just because they're heeled. Finally, my collar is from Pologeorgis, but I bought it from Neiman Marcus. However, Neiman Marcus lost it in the mail, so they ended up refunding me the whole amount, but it still got sent to me. The collar is very warm! The day this picture was taken I got so hot wearing it! I'm also wearing a J.Crew bangle, that's very fun to clip and unclip when you're bored, and a Kendra Scott ring. You certainly don't need too much jewelry with this outfit, even though I would've liked to add some earrings and a different ring. I usually wear a vintage coach leather shoulder bag with this outfit that I inherited from my great grandmother. It's a wonderful bag! Finally, I do like how my hair adds some lightness to my outfit, that I don't think would be there if it were darker. The only item in this outfit I got for full retail price was the sweater.
You can get my outfit, top to bottom, from the followings links:

Snow Bunny
I LOVE this outfit too, it's my snow outfit! I originally got it for my 21st Birthday trip to Aspen, Colorado, but that got canceled due to Covid concerns. Both pieces are from Perfect Moment, a Chamonix based athletic wear brand. The photos I added are from when I went skiing with my friend Erin. You can read that blog here. The jacket is very warm and is filled with goose down. I purchased it from Poshmark, as it's from the Perfect Moment Winter 19/20 collection. It was very hard to find. I was nervous about wearing it in the beginning because it's so bright, but I'm fine now. The jacket comes with many pockets, a snow skirt, and a goggle cloth. The pants are also warm and are of an incredible quality! They're a little long for me, since I'm so short, but I like how the hem can be unzipped to put on snow boots and there is a Velcro snow skirt on each leg to put over the boot. I think the best part is probably my blonde curly hair, in the mirror selfie it reminds me of Farah Fawcett. I'm also wearing a ring, but I wouldn't say it's necessary for the outfit. I got neither of these for full price.

Basic Everyday Outfits
These outfits are wonderful for everyday wear. I'm including both because the only real difference is the top. In both photos I'm wearing a leather belt from J.Crew. It's an okay leather belt, it does it's job, but nothing more than that. I'd like to get a thicker belt as this one is thin and warps easily. I'm also wearing jeans from Kut from the Kloth that I bought at Plato's. They're kinda straight legged jeans, so when they're rolled up they look chic with boots. My boots are from J.Crew. I like them a lot, but if you're standing in them for a whole day your feet will hurt. Finally, for the first photo I'm wearing a navy Rag and Bone sweater I that I purchased from Plato's Closet. I absolutely adore it! It's warm and goes with so much! I even wore it skiing since it's 100% wool. My bag is Kate Spade and I received it from my brother for Christmas/ Birthday! Also, if you're curious my keychain was given to me by my friend Nai's grandma and is from Mexico. I love it! In the second photo I'm wearing a black Ralph Lauren top from T.J. Maxx. I really like how I tucked it in. P.S. This is also my funeral shirt, I've been to a lot of funerals as of late.

My Other Fur Baby
This outfit is more for fun than anything. I'm wearing my mom's mink coat that was originally owned by my great grandmother, Evelyn. I thought it would be fun to wear it backwards like a shirt. I kinda like it. I would have to wear another shirt underneath though because this coat doesn't have buttons or a zipper.  Nothing was purchased for full retail price by me. I mean I guess my great grandfather probably paid full price for it. I'll still add links below if you wanna try this.
Coat: Real / Faux
Jeans: J.Crew Straight Jeans (Similar)

Well, thank you for reading! I hope you enjoyed it and hopefully there will be a spring one soon!
God Bless!

20 Activities for 20 year Olds

Good Morning Family and Friends! Recently I have been incredibly bored, hopefully my online classes will entertain me more. I have previously stated that I wasn’t practicing social distancing or whatever, however my mom has been making me stay inside more often and now Colorado is on lockdown. I looked up activities for 20 year olds and didn’t find anything, I guess people make these lists for stay at home moms with young children. So, I decided to make my own list for you, the audience, if you’re bored (which if you’re reading this you probably are) and looking for something to do. Read Woah, how original...read. I don’t read for pleasure often. In the summer I read The Great Gatsby  and I usually read one of Father Greg Boyle’s books some other time in the year. I also read my Vogue magazines. Two books and a magazine isn’t that much. However, since there is more time to do stuff, I figured I could read more. My brother gave me The Princess Bride to read, I’ve read a lit...

The Best Experience of my Young Life: Casa Bonita

I read an article by Westword that read if Disneyland and Tijuana had a baby and left it to fend for itself in a strip mall on Colfax, it’d be Casa Bonita. I finally got to experience this gem with some of my friends, Nai and Hannah, who have also been eager to try the restaurant out.       We pulled into the packed parking lot of Casa Bonita that stood in the same shopping complex as two dollar stores and a kids dental office next door. People surrounded the outside as the fountain splashed and I took photos as rapidly as a mom on Christmas morning. This was it, the best of themed dining experiences. We entered into a very confusing entryway and found the line, but first we stopped by the bathroom, which happened to be very nice. We stood in the red velvet roped line with other epicures, such as ourselves, waiting to order at the register. The line was dark, but illuminated by Corona neons, a sign with the words “Easto Much, Peso Little”, a vi...

Things I've Found on the Ground

Family and friends, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! It has been a while since I've published a blog post, but after audience interest in the rekindling of the blog here I am at the 11th hour to ensure a numerical year doesn't go by without a post. I guess I've been gone because I've been busy or less inspired…I don't know. Anyways, for the past two years (and some months) I’ve taken pictures of things I find on the ground, some of  them are amusing, so I’ve decided to share some and write little stories for each. So, please enjoy a small collection of photos and commentary of things I’ve found on the ground.  Making Love in a Hopeless Place Where: Walmart Parking Lot When: December What: An Open Condom Wrapper Can anyone imagine a more romantic place to cement your love than a Walmart parking lot. I surely can't. Forget fireworks you have the rustle of your grocery bags in the back seat. Meanwhile the cold midnight air wafts in through your cracked windows a...
