Thankful for Gluesticks and Jesus

Yesterday (when I wrote this), I compiled a list of things I'm thankful for. This list could go on forever because I could write about everything around me and why I should be thankful. I kind of did do that tough because I should be glad I have so many things.

I'm thankful for...
my Clothing, it's clean, dry, warm, and fashionable.
my Family, this includes my mom, dad, and brother.
my Extended Family, they make me laugh and are fun to be around.
my Grandma, she's sweet and is an interesting person.
the ability to Hear music, animals, and talking.
Snow, it's fluffy, beautiful, and cold.
the ability to Dance and perform private concerts by myself, for myself.
my House, it's warm, safe, clean, dry, furnished, and comfortable
the ability to Laugh, it gives joy in good times and bad.
the ability to Relax without any real worries.
Food, knowing I have a meal whenever I need and am able to purchase more.
the ability to Read, the Bible, books, and more.
the ability to Learn, it increases my knowledge and my opportunities.
my Bed, which is fluffy and new.
the Sky, it's filled with star, clouds, and imagination.
my Golf Balls, they're colorful and offer hope that I will be able to golf more.
my Stuff, it all brings the hope that after using it once, I'll be able to use it again.
the ability to do Dishes, I have something to use and eat on.
the Printer, I can print and make copies of anything I need.
my Technology, giving me the ability to online shop and learn easily.
Paved Sidewalks, when I walk barefoot I don't step on rocks and other stuff.
my Shoes, my feet are safe and stylish.
a Desk, a place to put my stuff.
Gluesticks, I can make and stick things together.
my mom's Blue Crystal Vases, their pretty and adorn the house.
my Underwear, it keeps me covered and hygienic.
the Banister, it keeps me from falling down onto the stairs
my Luggage, it means I can take my stuff securely
my Retainer, it moves my teeth.
my Toothbrush, it cleans my teeth and keeps me hygienic.
my Life, I can change it and shows me I still have a purpose to fulfill.
my Crucifix, it comforts me and reminds me of Jesus' love.
my Screensaver, it reminds me of the beauty all around us, even if it's a FedEx truck.
People, they are kind.
the ability to Clean, I have something worth caring for.
Trash, i have the ability to dispose of something knowing I'll be able to get more.
 the Shredder, they are fun.
the ability to Communicate, clearly, respectfully, and easily.
my Mom's Chinese Lamps, they bring back a funny memory.
my Mom's Secretary Desk, it's pretty and was my great grandma's.
the Front Table, it stores stuff.
for my Mind, it sees things in a different light.
Positivity to see Christmas in September.
God, for giving up Jesus and giving multiple chances.
Jesus, for dying for our sins and forgiveness.
the Holy Spirit, for showing us Jesus and giving Grace in times of need.
Mary, for giving her self , and having Jesus.
Joseph, for raising Jesus, and comforting people.
Gabriel, for comforting Joseph
Elizabeth, she showed and gave us John the Baptist.
my Education for showing me Jesus.
God's Grace for giving me endless opportunities, love, and forgiveness and the ability to grow towards Him.
Jesus's love, I'm undeserving, especially if when I'm a hypocrite and sinner.
Jesus loves me and everyone in the world! Wow.

God Bless!

20 Activities for 20 year Olds

Good Morning Family and Friends! Recently I have been incredibly bored, hopefully my online classes will entertain me more. I have previously stated that I wasn’t practicing social distancing or whatever, however my mom has been making me stay inside more often and now Colorado is on lockdown. I looked up activities for 20 year olds and didn’t find anything, I guess people make these lists for stay at home moms with young children. So, I decided to make my own list for you, the audience, if you’re bored (which if you’re reading this you probably are) and looking for something to do. Read Woah, how original...read. I don’t read for pleasure often. In the summer I read The Great Gatsby  and I usually read one of Father Greg Boyle’s books some other time in the year. I also read my Vogue magazines. Two books and a magazine isn’t that much. However, since there is more time to do stuff, I figured I could read more. My brother gave me The Princess Bride to read, I’ve read a lit...

What I've Learned in College: End of Freshman Year Fun part 2

Continued from Part 1 8.Cowboys are Real Cowboys are typically seen as people who used to live in the Wild West years and years ago. I honestly think that my grandfather was one of the last American cowboys. While, I wills till continue to this this, I have learned that cowboys are still real! Every once in a while, I will see an old man sporting leather cowboy boots, a blue pair of Wrangler jeans, a button down shirt, a weathered, leather belt, a leather vest, a cowboy hat, a grown out beard, and skin weathered and tan like the leather. I didn’t think people still dressed like this besides for show! This is someone’s real life outfit! I am always astonished to see people like this because I don’t see them regularly. They look like their straight off a horse in ye old west! Students even wear cowboy boots daily! It’s something else. 9. People still pressure you. I don't drink for multiple reasons, and I was under the impression that people don't pressure people i...

Guest Post: Boys, Friendships, and Knowing who You are by Harriet Alove

I invited a close friend of mine to write a post about whatever she desired. Harriet Alove (pen name) reflects on boys and finding who she is while in college.  ------------------------------             Much like Katherine since I have been at college I have noticed a lot of new different things. I am no longer coddled by the Jesuits, no more Kairos, no more of my sisters passing me in the hallways while I’m having a meltdown during class and having them sit and talk with me ‘till I feel better. Going to one of the largest state universities in the country has truly shell shocked me. Having ‘theology of the body’ as the most of a sex ed class I’ve had, to oddly having more knowledge about Myer’s Briggs types thanks to Mr. Cook’s junior theology. However, what has shocked me the most is how lost I have felt about myself. I’m no longer a swimmer, a good old Catholic girl going to ...
