Chased by a Squirrel and Other Stories

Howdy! I hope you all are well. Recently in my blog I expressed I wanted to write more stories, so I did. I gathered up a few moments of my life the past two months that left me laughing or astonished. Also, I decided to stop updating the Bachelor Recap blogs as not many people were reading, with that being said there aren't a lot of readers reading the other blogs either. Shout out to all of my 15 readers!

Driving on Zero
A few weeks ago I was on my way to see my friend Erin. I happened to be driving downtown and while, at a stoplight, I was trying to change the Justin Bieber song on my phone. I also noticed a message from my mom that read "remember to fill the car up." I inevitably looked at my dash and noticed the gas mileage thing literally said "0 miles to E." H-O-L-Y C-O-W! Then, I saw it change to "LOW." You see, I like to play this game called "Don't Fill Up The Car". The rules are as follows: don't put gas in your car and wait for your parents to drive the car and pay to fill up the gas. I'm alright at this game, but this time I straight up lost. Anyways, I was stressed. Where was the nearest gas station on this tiny street? I didn't know. I wanted to turn and pull over, but I couldn't find any where good to turn. I just kept driving thinking there has to be one if I keep going. If I truly ran out I guess my parents or Erin could bring some gas over. Suddenly, I saw one. I made a sharp merge and kept going forward, but soon realized it was a restaurant. NO. I then noticed a Phillips 66 on the other side of the street. I made some more tight merges, but I made it! I pulled into the gas station relived. I put $30 in and was all filled up! I couldn't believe I drove about 15 miles on 15 miles or less of gas. I made sure to thank Jesus for that little miracle! Now, I'm more aware about how much gas I have left and am less stubborn to fill it up.

O'Doul's Beer Pong
I had a great idea the other day for an activity appropriate for everyone... O'Doul's Beer Pong. It's hilarious! Who plays pong with non alcoholic beer? I don't know, I just could not stop laughing and I thought it would make other people laugh too!
Squirrel Scramble
Yesterday I was in Fort Collins for an in person geology class. On my way in I heard a black capped chickadee and saw a squirrel like 5 feet away from me. I am always nervous around college educated squirrels because they're too friendly and simply HUGE. Also, I'm worried they'll jump on me. Anyways, class was fine, I identified and examined rocks. On my way out I noticed a gaggle of geese, five squirrels eating, and one tiny bird on the bird feeder. I went closer to try to get a picture of the bird to send to my brother, but then a squirrel looked at me and started running towards me. Needless to say I was worried and ran away from it. I don't know how long it followed me, but I like to imagine it was for a few seconds. I quickly thought "what will someone think if they see this?" However, I figured they'd understand and laugh, but I don't think anyone was near me. It wasn't as scary as I thought it'd be though, so maybe I'll be less nervous around college educated squirrels.

Cool Brooch
The other day I was at the mall and while walking I around I saw a woman who appeared to have a large brooch on. As I neared her I thought to myself "What is that? Is that a lizard?" My questions would soon be answered as I passed her. This woman had her pet bearded dragon clinging to her boob.

Well, thank you for reading and have a FABULOUS day! God Bless!

20 Activities for 20 year Olds

Good Morning Family and Friends! Recently I have been incredibly bored, hopefully my online classes will entertain me more. I have previously stated that I wasn’t practicing social distancing or whatever, however my mom has been making me stay inside more often and now Colorado is on lockdown. I looked up activities for 20 year olds and didn’t find anything, I guess people make these lists for stay at home moms with young children. So, I decided to make my own list for you, the audience, if you’re bored (which if you’re reading this you probably are) and looking for something to do. Read Woah, how original...read. I don’t read for pleasure often. In the summer I read The Great Gatsby  and I usually read one of Father Greg Boyle’s books some other time in the year. I also read my Vogue magazines. Two books and a magazine isn’t that much. However, since there is more time to do stuff, I figured I could read more. My brother gave me The Princess Bride to read, I’ve read a lit...

Major Life Advice

Recently during class I was giving an acquaintance/friend advice after being asked "How am I so happy?" and another acquaintance/friend wanted me to begin as she thought this was very important. Today I want to share part of a book (google doc) that I've been writing throughout the years that is full of advice I have received and found. Today is the Best Day of My Life This may sound crazy, but it's true, everyday is the best day of your life because you never know when life will end. I learned this from my dad who even thought it was crazy when he heard it from his friend. This advice has helped me look at the positive in every day things. For example in high school I didn't enjoy waking up around 4 am for swim practice, but when I dad told me this advice, I started thinking about it began enjoying early mornings. How lucky was I to do what I love, be awake before anyone else, talk to my friends, and laugh endlessly before the sun rose? So lucky and as ...

What I've Learned in College: End of Freshman Year Fun part 2

Continued from Part 1 8.Cowboys are Real Cowboys are typically seen as people who used to live in the Wild West years and years ago. I honestly think that my grandfather was one of the last American cowboys. While, I wills till continue to this this, I have learned that cowboys are still real! Every once in a while, I will see an old man sporting leather cowboy boots, a blue pair of Wrangler jeans, a button down shirt, a weathered, leather belt, a leather vest, a cowboy hat, a grown out beard, and skin weathered and tan like the leather. I didn’t think people still dressed like this besides for show! This is someone’s real life outfit! I am always astonished to see people like this because I don’t see them regularly. They look like their straight off a horse in ye old west! Students even wear cowboy boots daily! It’s something else. 9. People still pressure you. I don't drink for multiple reasons, and I was under the impression that people don't pressure people i...
