A Review: July 2018

In July, the summer continues.

The 4th of July!
The fourth of July is always a fun day! This past year I worked and had a great time! The night before we decorated the pool which was so much fun! The day of  we held small events and competitions and even face painting!
That night my family and I saw fireworks which were beautiful, but so were the dark clouds on the horizon. It also rained a bit, so my family and I put a blanket on to cover us all which was funny!

Our amazing face paint work!

Pool Party
Once again I had so much fun working! More pool stories are to come!

Paddle Boarding
During the summer, a friend and I went paddle boarding! Paddle boarding is always so much fun because you get to float on top of the water, see the boats, and jump off into the lake! This particular time as my friend and I were renting out paddle boards the attendants warned us about the e.coli in the water, great, so ultimately we couldn't jump in. It was kind of a bummer, but I still stuck my legs in because it was so cold! We saw some weird animal pop it's head up out of the water. I don't know if I remembered what it was, but it was interesting. We also saw some fishermen. It was a very quiet day on the lake which was fine. We headed back to shore and on the way back I stood and paddled which is kinda scary because you could lose your balance, which could be fun to fall, but I didn't.
My friend and I stopped for lunch and afterwards, as she was driving, a good Samaritan alerted us a tire was deflated, so we pulled over. She put more and more air in it, but to no avail did it work. Eventually, we went to the mechanic and they looked at it while we went shopping. Everything ended up being fine, it got fixed and we went home.
The day was very fun and filled with surprises!

I heart e.coli!

July was filled with much more memories, all incredible!

 God Bless!

20 Activities for 20 year Olds

Good Morning Family and Friends! Recently I have been incredibly bored, hopefully my online classes will entertain me more. I have previously stated that I wasn’t practicing social distancing or whatever, however my mom has been making me stay inside more often and now Colorado is on lockdown. I looked up activities for 20 year olds and didn’t find anything, I guess people make these lists for stay at home moms with young children. So, I decided to make my own list for you, the audience, if you’re bored (which if you’re reading this you probably are) and looking for something to do. Read Woah, how original...read. I don’t read for pleasure often. In the summer I read The Great Gatsby  and I usually read one of Father Greg Boyle’s books some other time in the year. I also read my Vogue magazines. Two books and a magazine isn’t that much. However, since there is more time to do stuff, I figured I could read more. My brother gave me The Princess Bride to read, I’ve read a lit...

The Best Experience of my Young Life: Casa Bonita

I read an article by Westword that read if Disneyland and Tijuana had a baby and left it to fend for itself in a strip mall on Colfax, it’d be Casa Bonita. I finally got to experience this gem with some of my friends, Nai and Hannah, who have also been eager to try the restaurant out.       We pulled into the packed parking lot of Casa Bonita that stood in the same shopping complex as two dollar stores and a kids dental office next door. People surrounded the outside as the fountain splashed and I took photos as rapidly as a mom on Christmas morning. This was it, the best of themed dining experiences. We entered into a very confusing entryway and found the line, but first we stopped by the bathroom, which happened to be very nice. We stood in the red velvet roped line with other epicures, such as ourselves, waiting to order at the register. The line was dark, but illuminated by Corona neons, a sign with the words “Easto Much, Peso Little”, a vi...

Things I've Found on the Ground

Family and friends, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! It has been a while since I've published a blog post, but after audience interest in the rekindling of the blog here I am at the 11th hour to ensure a numerical year doesn't go by without a post. I guess I've been gone because I've been busy or less inspired…I don't know. Anyways, for the past two years (and some months) I’ve taken pictures of things I find on the ground, some of  them are amusing, so I’ve decided to share some and write little stories for each. So, please enjoy a small collection of photos and commentary of things I’ve found on the ground.  Making Love in a Hopeless Place Where: Walmart Parking Lot When: December What: An Open Condom Wrapper Can anyone imagine a more romantic place to cement your love than a Walmart parking lot. I surely can't. Forget fireworks you have the rustle of your grocery bags in the back seat. Meanwhile the cold midnight air wafts in through your cracked windows a...
